Avenida Balboa

Avenida Balboa is the coastal boulevard that traces the bay from Casco Viejo to Punta Paitilla, and the residential strip immediately behind it. It is the most photographed face of Panama City, with a wall of high-rise condominium towers facing the water, the Cinta Costera linear park running along the bay, and the Mercado de Mariscos fish market anchoring the southern end.

The neighbourhood is centrally located, walkable to Casco Viejo and Bella Vista, and minutes by car from the financial district. The mix of buildings spans 1980s-era towers, mid-2000s condominium booms, and a handful of more recent luxury developments. Residents are a blend of long-established Panamanian families, financial-sector professionals, and international residents drawn by the bay views and central location.
