Costa del Este

Costa del Este is a master-planned district on the eastern edge of Panama City, built from the late 1990s onward on reclaimed land between the existing city and Tocumen International Airport. It was designed around wide avenues, a town centre, parks, and a clear separation of residential, commercial, and corporate zones, and the result is the most consistently engineered piece of urban Panama.

The neighbourhood mixes single-family homes in gated streets with mid- and high-rise residential towers, and houses a growing concentration of multinational regional headquarters. It is one of the city's strongest family neighbourhoods, partly because several leading international schools sit either inside or on its immediate edges, and partly because the lower-traffic internal streets are unusually walkable for Panama City.
